Kristie brings 15 years of nightlife experience, 8 years as a fitness professional, and 4 years in the healing arts to her current endeavors. Her personal journey—from homelessness and drug use to a wild lifestyle—led her to a profound path of healing and transformation. These diverse life experiences have given her a unique vision for addressing community, social, and economic challenges. Kristie is the founder of the nonprofit organization Roots Ohana, a space dedicated to co-creation, healing, and working with the land.
Her passion project, the Malama the Aina Festival, is designed to fund the nonprofit while embracing her core value of fun and joy. A pivotal moment in her journey occurred when she visited Waipio Valley, a sacred Hawaiian land, where she forged a deep connection with the 'āina (land). It was through this spiritual bond with the land that Kristie found true healing, and now she seeks to bring that sense of unity and regeneration to others.
